PUGS! I love pugs, especially little fat ones!!! OOOF! A fun little video I made for one fat little pug on his morning constitutional. Animated entirely in After Effects via DUIK IK/FK, using an Illustrator designed pug and background I created. Music and SFX courtesy of AudioJungle.

I had the pleasure of animating a few select shots in this short. I animated: the scared, teeth chattering Ernst and egg in the first shot we see them on ferris wheel, The the shot of Ernst in the air, flapping his wings and falling back offscreen, then When Ernst sees the egg, jumping on the ferris wheel high up and he jumps of the ground from a laying position and screams and runs offscreen to save the egg, and lastly, the stare and scream reaction and faint that Ernst does at the end, when he see how high the NEW roller coaster that the egg is hopping towards.

Animation I created while freelancing with Dreamworks for this short for IKEA's World of Lattjo campaign. My animation starts when we cut back to Ernst the eagle walking to nest and ultimately causing the nest to rise. Then my animation effort returns when we cut back to Ernst cowering by himself high in his nest to the end of the short. Credit to Scott Graham (Animation Lead) and Joe Vance (Art Director) for their idea, storyboards and direction.

Animation I did for the 2015 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival

I animated this launch trailer for the Patchmania puzzle game for iOS that recently successfully launched worldwide on March 19th. I did all the cinematic aniamtion with the bunnies and the angry farmer, and in the game play view, I animated rabbits juggling, burping, laughing and disapproving.

This was a logo I designed and animated for ESPN's Sports Bar and Grill Facebook game, from 2011.  I always wanted the game's logo to be a neon sign, right from the start. The animation was slow because it was for a loading screen, thus the slower flickering to life neon signage.

I created the fire ignite effect and ember glows and burns for this awesome character design from Lizette Biancalana. Created for Disney's Words of Wonder mobile/ social game. Optimized for mobile devices through part reuse and limited frame count.

iOS game Episode - Mean Girls: Senior year. I created all the animation and the video + titles. Created in Spine.

Quick 3D Intro animation test for Flynn from Skylanders Game. Not used in Skylanders. Created in Maya.

For iOS puzzle game Patchmania, I created these extra animations for each bunny, so that if player was idle for too long, then each bunny would have an animation to grab the player’s attention. Created in Adobe Animate.

I animated Zazu for Disney Solitaire, Microsoft Surface in ToonBoom Harmony. The following animations show different actions for entrances and exits, winning score and losing score reactions, and some tutorial actions. I have strung them together to make sense visually, but the animations were created as separate actions, targeted by code. Also, I had to be mindful of sprite sheet limitations, so I created animations that made the most use of limited body parts to get appealing animation. Created in Adobe Animate.

I mocked up this game sequence for producers and engineers and then created separate animations, such as the large red Baron entrance, mockups for how the plane should fly around, and the taking damage animations when hit. Created in Spine + Unity

iOS game Snoopy Pop - I mocked up ideas for how the kids would enter screen to power up Snoopy’s Bubble, to give him greater advantage in clearing the board. Also in this video is the in-game implementation. Created in Adobe Animate + Spine + Unity.

This is a short sample of some animation direction that I created for artists and animators while I was Lead Animator on the Snoopy Pop game for iOS. I regularly did drawovers, pose suggestions/ model fixes and mechanics fixes via quick sketches, many times writing in additional notes. Notes created in Photoshop.

iOS game Snoopy Pop - WIP animation created directly in Unity for the UI animation states for Quests. I ended up directly animating a lot of the obstacles within unity, as well as using Unity’s shuriken particle system to create some fun VFX. Created in Unity.

iOS game Disney Words of Wonder. These are a collection of two maps, containing ambient animations that appear as the player progresses through the map. Effects are not applied. Map animations are all mine. Created in Adobe Animate.

For Disney Words of Wonder, I created the effects for this Boost that would crush a red or blue whirlpool obstacle on the letter board. This video was made to demonstrate the look to art director, producers and engineers and get approvals. Created in Adobe Animate.

A small sample of some 2D effects I made for Disney Words of Wonder. The fire consists of a flame up and a loop cycle, that can blend. The others are simpler animations using single sprites and transforms to get the effect. Created in Adobe Animate.

Unreleased Facebook Game - I roughly animated a “living” idle for Mater, meant to be seen at a small size onscreen. Think game map element size. Since I did not have access the a fully rigged character, I first animated Mater in 3D with the basic rig, and then 2D animated his eyes and mouth, since the end result would be a 2D look for the game. Not final look. Created in Maya + ToonBoom Harmony.

Since I did not have access the a fully rigged character, I first animated Lightning in 3D with the basic rig, and then 2D animated his eyes and mouth, since the end result would be a 2D look for the game. Unreleased iOS game - A run cycle and idle loop I made for Luke Skywalker for the game's early stages. The style was paper doll animation, reusing body parts and working within those limitations, in Adobe Animate. I needed to begin animating before all the final art was created, swapping in the painted assets later. Created in Adobe Animate.

Unreleased iOS game - I was tasked to do a "win" moment animation for this little chef character for a game concept. I made fast 2D mockups for approvals since the game was animated using Adobe Animate.

I designed these characters for this sports bar game: From left to Right: Coach, Elena (main character/bar owner), Alison, Roger. The style was based on the game, which was a very flat, bold color look influenced by the bold flat colors of sports teams' colors.
